Great news today, our paperwork, translated into Chinese, has been officially logged and received by the Chinese Government! The login date was June 29, 2005. As with many things in the process of adoption, word travels slowly across continents, and today is the day we learned of our login date.
Today is also the day we begin the longest part of the process -- waiting. From now until our referral (a picture of our daughter), we have plenty to do, but as far as the adoption process goes, all is fairly silent now until that time in January or February when our social worker calls to tell us our daughter's picture has arrived.
