Attachment & Bonding

Definitely one of challenges with international adoption is the issue of attachment and bonding with the new parents. An infant who has lived at an orphanage her whole life has multiple caregivers, and doesn't have the opportunity to form a strong bond with anyone. As a result, she can act out in many different ways until that new and lasting bond is made with her new parents.
