Summer Vacation

Ava and Anne had a fabulous time last week hanging out with Anne's side of the family. Mike flew in from New York and the three drove up to Appleton. There, we visited with Scott's family (Ava climbed a slide for the first time!), visited the neighborhood cats and parks, and spent a fabulous night at the Osthoff Resort. Ava loved running the walkways around the resort and was all business when digging in the sand - never seen a toddler so focused. Maybe architecture is in her future?

Then Dan and Juliana joined the group for the weekend - visiting the Greenville Zoo and celebrating Grandpa's birthday were highlights. One little Ava surrounded by six adoring adults - probably quite the sight to see. At one point, she was telling us all to run, running along.

One downside was that the new locations coupled with the jampacked days made for difficulty getting Ava to bed. You'll be glad to know that this blog posting is possible because Ava went to bed without a peep tonight - so hopefully the bedtime drama was a temporary situation!

Well, here's just a sampling of the many pictures taken. Wondering what Scott was doing during this time? We'll be posting about his adventure soon......
