Up Nort'

The family experienced insta-autumn last week when they headed up nort' with Scott's folks. It was so much fun to introduce Ava to boating, mini-hikes, the joys of Scrabble tiles and watching the Pack by a cozy fireplace. Anne and Scott also renewed their energy with a few 8:30 bedtimes and a hearty regimen of homemade soup, cheese, wine and chocolate. So glad that we have a tradition like this to share with Ava!

Ava and Baba, filling their pockets with acorns. Ava's new Elmo was a good hiking buddy.

Ava feeding the deer at a nearby zoo. She also fed (and kissed) a potbelly pig and a group of baby bunnies.

Collecting leaves in her backpack with Grandma (pronounced Na-Ma).
