Questions. Questions. Questions. Answers.

So have you heard anything new? Any news?
No, nothing new. They [the China Center for Adoption Affairs (CCAA)] were able to match up families logged in to China's system by May 31, 2005. (Our login date was June, 29, 2005.)

What does that mean?
Well, we are hoping that the next round of referrals will give us a better idea of when we will get our referral. Lately, the CCAA has been matching one or two weeks worth of login dates each month, so it could be several months yet.

Haven't you been saying that for months and months?
Yes, but we are getting closer, and we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The large number of people adopting from China has made the process slower than in the past.

So when do you travel to China?
We will travel about 6-8 weeks after we get our referral.

So when do you find out what your daughter will look like?
When we get our referral.

What's a referral?
A "referral" contains everything we need to know about our daughter. We will receive a picture or two, her age, her size, her likes/dislikes, habits, concerns, etc.

When is that coming?
Well, we are hoping that the next round of referrals will give us a better idea of when we will get ours. Our referral could be in April, May or even June. We just will not know for sure until we get a call from our social worker that our referral has arrived.

Our log-in date is May 31st and I can most definetely understand the question and answer game. When we told everyone two weeks ago that we would hear this month (of course we have said that before) everybody looked at us with a little pity. Our claims aren't believable anymore. I hardly can believe the wait we are enduring.Thinking of you. Lisa
